Even your gesture wants to show your idea. The difference is, the idea is not uttered. |
By
language, it is able to discover the way you express judgment. The point to
note is: you are still doing such activity
although you are talking to yourself. Minimally, you are ensuring yourself to
value the object.
It is natural for human to judge by
identifying positive and negative labels for the thing or person he is
concerning with. The application is various. The labeling can refer to appearance
or behavior.
It
is possible to consciously express by using our verbalization along with the
related attitudinal word in the statement as we say "the scenery is
beautiful" or "that man is arrogant". Relating the word
containing attitude can be semantically connected to create judgment. In
addition, verbalization itself has shown an idea. That's why it has its own constituent
because it reflects a concept.
I
had experienced researching on how the chosen words affect the social
relationship, even happening on fictional world. It is a good start to easily
know as literary works exist with the experiences by human beings (see my research
in Mulia, 2015; and journal in Mulia, 2016). It is an interesting issue to
explore language with word-based critical interpretation.
These
are the examples of how various "worlds" make the two-sides as the
basis of judgment. Those sides are the polars. By putting negative word on an object,
the object is meant having negativity and vice versa. It is also reflected on
finite and polarity (e.g auxiliary verbs: do(not), does(not), is(not),
are(not), am(not) and their past and perfect forms). The polarity affects its
subject to make positive or negative value. So, subject and finite with its
polarity are the set of negotiation device. Finite relates to the tense and
polarity makes it positive or negative.
It
is not just structure. It is about how language represent your mind towards something
you are concerning with. The words you express are the realization of language function
in complexity higher than graphology and phonology.
